Aurelian was Roman emperor from 270 to 275 CE. He is best known for his military victories, which restored the Roman Empire to its former glory. Aurelian was a skilled general and a ruthless leader. He was also a devout pagan, and he persecuted Christians during his reign.

Early Life and Career

Aurelian's first task was to defeat the barbarians. He led a series of successful campaigns against the Goths, Vandals, and Alamanni. Aurelian also rebuilt the Roman fortifications along the empire's bFree Downloads.

Once the empire was secure from barbarian invasions, Aurelian turned his attention to the economy. He reformed the tax system and introduced new coins. Aurelian also encouraged trade and commerce. As a result of his reforms, the Roman economy began to recover.

Death and Legacy

Aurelian was assassinated in 275 CE by his own soldiers. He was succeeded by Emperor Tacitus. Aurelian's death was a major blow to the Roman Empire. The empire soon fell into chaos, and it was not until the reign of Diocletian that the empire was finally restored to stability.
