The Fingering Chart: Your Guitar's Roadmap

The fingering chart is a guitar player's best friend. It's a roadmap that shows you where to place your fingers on the guitar neck to play different notes. It's an indispensable tool for both beginners and experienced players alike.

The fingering chart is divided into two parts: the fretboard and the strings. The fretboard is the long, thin part of the guitar that runs from the nut (at the top of the guitar) to the bridge (at the bottom). The strings are the six strings that run across the fretboard.

Each fret on the fretboard represents a different note. The higher the fret, the higher the note. The strings are also tuned to different notes. From thickest to thinnest, the strings are tuned to E, A, D, G, B, and E.

To play a note, you simply place your finger on the corresponding fret and pluck the string. The fretboard is numbered from 1 to 12, with the nut being fret 0. The strings are numbered from 1 to 6, with the thickest string being string 1.
