• Sandra Cisneros is the author of the critically acclaimed novel The House on Mango Street. She is a native of Chicago and currently lives in Texas.
• Alex Kotlowitz is the author of There Are No Children Here and The Other Side of the River: A Story of Two Towns, a Death, and America's Dilemma. He has been a Chicago resident for over 30 years.
